Anna Fryer, Born in 1979 in Warsaw, Poland. Works and lives in Tokyo. She creates paintings, installations and collaborative art works. Her paintings are strong colorful abstract pieces that thematically operate between macro and micro scales. Fryer creates painting installations, she paints directly on walls of custom built spaces and in galleries where her work compositionally engages the surface of the canvas and the wall itself. Fryer searches to define the borders of the painting; that which characterizes where it starts and ends, and the relationship between the image, the canvas and wall. She has exhibited in Poland, Japan, Korea, Germany, and in Italy.
